Ian Ellis and Cameron Chapman Commit to Kentucky Wesleyan

Two more Blue Knight Sophomores have chosen where they will play ball next year.  Ian Ellis and Cameron Chapman committed to Kentucky Wesleyan on back to back days earlier this week.  They will join a long list of guys to finish their college career's at KWC after transferring from OCC.  Ryan Hinkley, a sophomore from last year's squad, was the most recent player to pick KWC.

Kentucky Wesleyan is a NCAA Division II program located in Owensboro, Kentucky.  They're coming off one of their best years in recent memory as they finished with 29 wins and also coming out on top in their conference tournament.

Ian, who was a RHP last year for the Knights, is now a true two way guy here this fall as he has seen time both on the bump and also on the infield.  On the mound last spring he finished with 23 innings pitched working mostly out of the bullpen and posting a 4.70 ERA.  He struck out 18 hitters in the process and also picked up 2 saves on the year.

Cam comes in to Olney Central College this year as a transfer from Shawnee College.  For Shawnee Cam was the starting right fielder and batted in the middle of their lineup.  This year however, along with playing outfield Chapman will also see some time on the mound for the Knights.  The left handed Chapman has a strong arm and has done a good job this fall learning how to pitch.

Both guys will be important players for OCC this spring and should be able to help in multiple areas both this year and next year at Kentucky Wesleyan
