Parker Newby has committed to the University of Toledo for next fall. The Rockets compete in the division 1 Mid-American Conference. Parker will be the first Blue Knight to play for Toledo.

In his freshman fall, Parker threw 19.1 innings, posting a 0.93 earned run average and a 25/4 K to BB ratio. In the shortened spring he continued his success with a 3-0 record while posting a 2.87 earned run average in 15.2 innngs pitched. Newby was also an Academic All-American in the spring.

Parker will play a big part for the pitching staff this spring. He is a very hard worker on and off the field and will continue to have success at the next level.
