Callahan and Wagy Commit to OCU

2nd year freshman Hunter Callahan and sophomore Noah Wagy have committed to play at Oakland City University next fall. They will play for head coach and former Blue Knight, Andy Lasher and pitching coach and former Blue Knight, Joey Drury. 

Hunter Callahan is a right handed pitcher that threw mid to late relief in his first year throwing 22.2 innings and compiling 4.76 era. This fall Hunter pitched 11.1 innings with a .79 era and holding hitters to a .136 average. He continues to get better and will be a big part of the pitching staff in his 2nd year. Hunter is from Cisne, IL and attended Cisne High School.

Noah Wagy is an outfielder and a pitcher who will get time at both spots. Pitching in college is new to Noah, but has a high celing with his power arm. Pitching only 7 innings this fall, he struck out 8 with a 1.29 era and held opposing hitters to a .174 average. In the spring of 2020, Wagy slashed .292/.485/.708 at the plate. Noah will continue to work on both positions and help in multiple ways this year. Noah is from Newton, IL and attended Newton High School.
