Prior to OCC: Tyler averaged 19.8 points per game while shooting 41% from long range for former OCC assistant coach Levi Carmichael at Eastern Greene High School. Tyler was an All-SWIAC performer as a senior.

Coach Burris on Tyler: "First off we are getting a great kid from a super family. Tyler can flat out shoot the basketball which we did not do very well as a team last year. He can really stretch the defense with his range. We are excited about the player we think Tyler can become. We know Tyler is going to work his tail off everyday!"
