Prior to OCC: Kevin averaged 17.4 points, 12.7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2.5 steals as a senior for Marion. Rowell was first team all-state and played in the South Carolina North-South all star game as well as the city vs state all star game.

Coach Burris on Kevin: "Kevin is a super kid who can play. He is an excellent rebounder on both sides of the basketball. He is highly skilled and handles the ball very well for a guy his size. He can hurt you on the blocks or with his face up game. Kevin has a chance to be a very good player in our system."
