Softball coach Nick Short has released the spring schedule for his Blue Knights. The 58-game schedule will begin February 11th and 12th at the TigerFest Tournament hosted by Northeast Mississippi Community College in Booneville, MS.  The full schedule has not been released as of yet, but the Knights are expected to play the host school at least once. 

For the first time in program history, Olney will be playing indoors on February 25th and 26th in Burlington, IA. In the tournament hosted by Southeastern Community College (Burlington, IA), OCC will play McCook CC (NE) and host school SCC on the opening day,  and will then play Ellsworth CC (IA) and Iowa Central CC on the 26th. 

The home opener is scheduled for March 2 against Lincoln Land CC, where Loggers head coach Rachel Wisner will be returning to her hometown. Gametime is set for 2pm.  The next day, March 3, will see OCC traveling to Southeastern Illinois College to open GRAC play, before leaving the next day for their annual spring break trip to Myrtle Beach, SC for four days of games at the North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex. The schedule has not been released yet. 

The remaining schedule will consist of Region and GRAC games, beginning March 11 at home against SWIC and concluding with Lincoln Trail on May 3. Postseason begins on May 7th with the first round of the Region XXIV tournament.  Here is the postseason breakdown:

Top 8 of the 11 team region qualify for postseason. 

First Round begins May 7 in a best of 3 series. Top seeds host: #1 hosts #8, 2 hosts 7, 3 hosts 6, 4 hosts 5. Double header begins at noon on May 7. If necessary game starts at 1pm May 8. 

The four winners of those series will then meet at SWIC for the Region XXIV Final Four beginning May 14 and concluding May 15.
