The Olney Central Lady Knights improved to 12-8 on the season while earning their third straight victory with a 70-49 win over Southeastern Illinois.
Four Lady Knights found double figures on Wednesday evening led by Kelsee Ennis 13 points and Brooke Callaways 12. Samantha Scott added 10 points while Erin Barton nearly missed a double double with 10 points and 9 rebounds. The Lady Knight had a very solid and even night throughout. The Lady Knights saw 9 players find the scoring column, pulled in 46 rebounds, and dished out 21 assists.
The Lady Knights end their three game home stand with three victories before hitting the road Saturday afternoon. OCC will travel to Centralia where they will face the 19-1 (7-0 GRAC) Kaskaskia Blue Angels. The Blue Angles are coming off an 86-65 victory over the 20th ranked Trailblazers of Vincennes. The Blue Angels are led by Freshman Kierra Graves who is averaging 26 points per game. The Blue Angels bested the Lady Knights earlier in the year by a score of 88-77 in late November.
Saturdays game is a 1:00 start followed by the Men's contest at 3:00. Come support your lady Knights as they continue the second round of Region 24 play.
