OCC picks up the win in Mattoon thanks to some hot shooting by the Lady Knights. The Lady Knights shot 9 for 20 from downtown and 27 of 32 from the free throw line in route to a 76-71 victory over the Lakers of Lake Land College. Jaycie Luna got the night started with 13 first half points shooting 3 for 3 from down town. Alicia Hasler also added a pair of first half three's in route to her 15 ponits on the night. Kelsi Scott continued her hot streak scoring 25 points on the night with the help of 11 for 12 from the free throw line. Andresha Smith added 7 points, Jillian Romero 6, Brooke Bayles 5, Kaitlin Sheppard 3, and Hannah Resler 2 in the win.
The Lady Knights will host Shawnee College on Saturday afternoon in the Dungeon. The Saints of Shawnee come into the game 26-1 and currently ranked 17th in this weeks NJCAA rankings. The game tips at 1:00 CST, and the men's game will begin approximately 3:15 CST. Saturday's game will be the final regular season home game for the Lady Knights and Blue Knights and OCC will honor it's 5 Sophomores from both teams. Come out to Coach Duke Court and support this great group of Sophomores as they play their last regular season hom game of their careers.
