Lady Knights open up post-season play at Kaskaskia

The OCC Lady Knights will travel to Centralia Tuesday evening for a quarter final matchup with the Blue Angels of Kaskaskia College.  The Lady Knights wrapped up the regular season with a 15-15 record and with their loss to the Blue Angels Friday night fell to the fifth seed in the District Tournament.  Kaskaskia is led by Freshmen Jadah Anderson (15 ppg) and Lajanea Kimbrough (14.9 ppg) and look to break the season split with the Lady Knights.  OCC won the first meeting in Olney 56-53 on January 20th and Kaskaskia got the best of the Lady Knights 71-53 last Friday night.  

The Lady Knights were paced through the first thirty games by Freshman Kelsi Scott and her 14.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per game (17.3 and 9.3 in GRAC play).  Alicia Hasler has also been atop the statistics with 11.5 points per game including a career high 29 last Tuesday at Southeastern Illinois.  

OCC will look for their 4th trip to the Semi-Finals in the past 6 years under coach Clint Burris.  The Lady Knights reached the Championship game in the 2011-12 season.
