Lady Knights go cold in Ina

The Lady Knights were not able to overcome a 19 point half time lead and fall to the #1 seeded Warriors of Wabash Valley in the semi finals of the Region 24 tournament on Friday afternoon.

The Lady Knights shot a frigid 17 percent in the first half including 2-14 from downtown.  The Lady Knights saw three players in double figures including game high 23 from Sophomore Kelsee Ennis. Leah Myers added 15 points and 13 rebounds and Samantha Shoulders chipped in 11 points.  The Lady Knights struggled all night to find the hoop and to take care of the ball.  Wabash Valley forced theLady Knights into 25 turnovers.  

In the loss and in her final game, Kelsee Ennis and her 4 threes was good enough to surpass Traci Roberts as the all time leader in threes made in a season with 70.  Earlier in the season at John A Logan she passed Roberts as the all time career leader in threes made. The previous record of 103 is now held by Kelsee and her 122 career three pointers.  

The Lady Knights loss bumped their final season record to 18-13.  OCC finished 5th place in the Great Rivers Athletic Conference with a 8-8 GRAC record, and 4th place in Region 24 with a 10-6 Region 24 record.
